About this service
Improperly trimmed trees and shrubs are a common sight in the GTA — cut too aggressively, at the wrong time, or with the wrong tools. Our crew is trained in proper pruning techniques that promote healthy growth rather than stressing the plant. We handle hedge trimming, small tree cutting, stump removal, and ornamental shrub shaping. All work includes debris cleanup and removal.

How it works
Assessment
We evaluate each plant's condition, note dead or crossing branches, and discuss shaping goals before starting any cuts.
Trimming
Clean cuts at the correct angle. We follow the one-third rule — never removing more than a third of the plant's mass in one session.
Shaping
Hedges are shaped to a consistent line. Ornamental trees are shaped to complement the plant's natural form, not forced into geometric shapes that stress the plant.
Cleanup
All clippings, branches, and debris are cleared from the site and removed — not piled at the curb unless requested.
Common questions
When is the best time to trim trees in Ontario?
Late winter to early spring (February–April) — before new growth starts — is generally best for most trees. Some shrubs and flowering plants have specific timing requirements. We'll advise based on what you have.
Can you handle large trees?
We handle small trees and branches that can be safely reached from the ground or with basic equipment. Large tree removal (anything requiring significant climbing or heavy equipment) is outside our scope — we can refer you to a certified arborist.
Do you remove stumps?
Yes — stump grinding is available as an add-on. We grind below grade and fill with topsoil.
